Covertrax protects against dust penetration

A Kabelschlepp Metool product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 25, 2009

Kabelschlepp's Covertrax 1555 covered cable carrier provides protection against metal chips, dust and dirt in harsh environments, and prevents objects from entering the cable compartment.

This is possible due to optimised geometry and a reinforced cover contour that permits small gap dimensions, even at large carrier widths.

As a result, objects cannot wedge in the gaps or penetrate the inside of the carrier while it is in motion.

Since the cover is flush with the sideband, dirt is diverted to the sides.

Additional features include a smooth sideband contour and quiet operation, resulting from the encapsulated stroke system.

The hinge mechanism allows the cover to be opened easily and quickly inside (Type 60) and outside (Type 080), or detached completely.

The dividers can be positioned across the carrier cross stay, or fixed in place by turning and locking.

IT is designed for self-supported (gliding) and unsupported installation and quiet operation due to the internal damping.

Using UMB universal mounting brackets, it can be attached from the top, bottom or front end.

A strain relief comb, C-rails and Linefix bracket clamps are optionally available to provide strain relief for the cables.
