New from Multipix Imaging at next month's IPOT 2003, the A600f series is the latest line of area scan cameras from Basler Vision Components.

These CMOS sensor based cameras have a full frame shutter, an IEEE1394 interface, a very small housing, and can operate at up to 100 frames per second at full 659 x 493 resolution.

The cameras also include an area of interest (AOI) feature that allows them to operate with higher frame rates at lower resolutions.

The addition of the A600f series to Basler's portfolio of IEEE1394 cameras establishes them as the leader in adapting this exciting technology for the industrial digital camera market.

When an A600f camera is combined with the Basler BCAM 1394 driver and a standard 1394 PC adapter board, it offers a low cost, plug and play solution.

The reasonable cost and ease of integration make these cameras especially attractive to analogue camera users considering upgrading to digital.

In fact, the slim, compact shape of the A600f cameras (29 x 44 x 65.7mm) means that they will easily fit into the space occupied by many common analogue cameras without major changes to the mechanical mounting system.

The cameras also feature user definable I/O ports, which add increased flexibility in industrial applications.

"Properties such as speed, easy plug and play, small size, and high image quality make A600f cameras an ideal fit for nearly all digital area scan applications.

Automated optical inspections in the electronics and semiconductor market are especially appropriate target uses.

Also, since CMOS technology has no blooming or smearing effect, it opens the market to many outdoor applications", says Dr Joachim Linkemann, Basler Vision Components Product Manager.

Multipix Imaging will have the A600f cameras on show at IPOT 2003 Hall 12, Stand B43, along with a comprehensive range of software, hardware and accessories for all your machine vision applications.
