The SL104-1k sorter camera is an enhanced version of the L104k model from Basler's extensive range of digital cameras.

Designed for food inspection and bulk materials control (eg mince or rice), the SL104k-1k has some unique features.

By using two variable thresholds in combination with a parameter to specify the number of adjacent pixels, the camera is able to identify defects by grey level and size with a 16bit binary output mode.

One major advantage of the SL104k-1k to the customer can be significant reduction in system costs.

Once the initial set-up of the camera has been completed the requirement for frame grabber, PC and imaging software may no longer be necessary.

Optics, lighting and camera settings need to be completed for optimum operation, attached to a frame grabber.

However once the camera is set, it can be disconnected and used with a simple circuit board of individual design with TTL outputs to control relays for example.

A lower quantity of hardware and software modules increases the system reliability, especially under strong environments such as food or bulk good inspection.

Multipix Imaging supplies and supports the complete series of line scan and area scan cameras from Basler including the trilinear colour/mono L300 and 4Mpixel L200 series.

High-speed CMOS area scan sensors include the A504kc colour 1.3Mpixel 500frame/s full resolution camera and new A600 series FireWire series.
