This high performance plug-and-play Cardbus device delivers easy interface from CameraLink digital cameras to laptop PCs.

With speeds of up to 66MHz (85MHz optional), RS232 serial interface for camera control, 256Mbit of onboard memory and proprietary lossless compression techniques plus a user friendly software development kit, mobile applications become a reality.

Using PCMCIA Cardbus Revision 8 standard technology and an intelligent DMA engine for the fast and efficient use of the 32bit PCIbus, the VCE-CLCB01 supports hot insertion and removal.

The 256Mbit of onboard memory, working with two banks of local memory for concurrent operation, enables acquisition of high-speed images.

The board supports the Camera Link base configuration via a single 26-pin connector and will accept clock rates of up to 66MHz (85MHz is optional).

Modes of operation include 1x8, 2x8, 3x8, 1x10, 2x10, 1x12, 2x12, 1x16bit and RGB (1x24).

An SDK is supplied with OS drivers, GUI application and a series of DLL's, support and examples for C++ and Visual Basic.
