The A102kc is the latest addition to Basler's successful A100 series of cameras.

The A102kc is the latest addition to Basler's successful A100 series of cameras.

A 1.45Mpixel sensor, with exceptionally low noise level, and 12bit data output that provides a useful dynamic range greater than 60dB making this powerful new camera especially appropriate for many high-end applications.

This progressive scan CCD camera has a CameraLink interface and offers 1392 x 1040 pixel resolution with a rate of up to 14.8 frames per second.

When the area of interest (AOI) feature is used, even higher frame rates are achievable.

Colour data can be transmitted in a raw format or the camera's onboard conversion capability can provide 24bit RGB output.

The A102kc also features an electronic global shutter, a flash trigger output, a low smear function and test images.

Dr Joachim Linkemann, Product Manager Basler VC explains: "Basler's A102kc uses a new CCD sensor which provides excellent image quality.

The high signal-to-noise ratio and the integrated low smear function qualify the A102kc for a variety of extremely difficult application tasks".

Along with the CameraLink interface, the A100 family is completed with Color and Monochrome FireWire options.

Further additions to the Basler range are due for launch during Q2 2004, including CMOS technology and the new A300 family.
