The Jenoptik IR-TCM 640 high resolution infra-red camera module is billed as the first commercially available camera module for VGA resolution in real time.

Available now from MultiPix Imaging, the Jenoptik IR-TCM 640 high resolution infra-red camera module is billed as the first commercially available camera module for VGA resolution in real time.

Whether visualising or measuring heat distribution charts, the new uncooled OEM IR camera module outputs stunning infrared images of 640 x 480 pixel resolution with a sharpness not yet seen at commercial level.

What's more, it does so in real time.

If configured with an optional hardware extension for resolution enhancement, it can even produce photo realistic IR pictures with 1.2Mpixel resolution.

Perfect for machine vision and security applications, with its VGA image format, the module with uncooled microbolometer provides the long-missed imaging quality for image recognition and machine vision purposes.

This is also helpful in security environments given that the modules extremely high image resolution capability can handle large enough data volumes for wide-angle lenses to monitor great fields of view.

Equipped with standard interfaces as FireWire, S/C video and RS232, it can easily be integrated into a variety of applications.
