A direct connection to the Gigabit Ethernet port on a remote computer means that no frame grabber is required.

MultiPix Imaging has released the Basler Pioneer 5 mega pixel Gige Vision camera.

It is based on Sony's ICX625 CCD sensor, which features a resolution of 2456 x 2048 pixels and running at 12 frames per second.

The image is available in monochrome and colour and the system has a fully GigE vision compliant interface.

It has a footprint of 29 x 44mm and offers binning modes, a programmable AOI feature with speed increase, programmable exposure control, a 12-bit readout, and packed data transfer for high frame rates, even in colour modes.

A direct connection to the Gigabit Ethernet port on a remote computer means that no frame grabber is required.

The camera suits inspection tasks, medical and microscopy applications and intelligent traffic systems.
