The Multistat Visual Optimizer has now been integrated with VR and D's VisualDOC product, following a co-operation agreement between Multistat and VR and D Design optimisation technology works with multidimensional data where it is crucial to find the best solution from thousands of available variants

Multistat Visual Optimizer provides numerous options to the users.

The most important of them are: visualisation and analysis of analytical and numerical models by the patented visualisation for multidimensional functions by projections (VMFP) method; Solving multi-objective optimisation problems by the exclusion of regions method (TERM); tools for generating and postprocessing the Pareto frontier; seamless handling of both continuous and discrete variables; and support of algebraic, polynomial, neural networks and Matlab models, as well as models in the form of stand-alone programs and COM-objects.

The software is designed for scientists and engineers to solve various optimisation tasks, including multidisciplinary optimisation, and to develop, analyse, and simulate novel compounds and processes, organise scientific data, and share information.

Multistat has developed a plug-in interface that allows Multistat customers to easily integrate their own optimisation libraries with Multistat Visual Optimizer, and use its advanced model building functionality, powerful 2D/3D interactive graphics, reporting tools, and database support as IDE (integrated development environment) for their own optimisation algorithms.

The plug-in interface has been used to integrate VisualDOC with Multistat Visual Optimizer.

Multistat users can use all of VisualDOC's optimisation and design of experiments (DOE) capabilities.

Mathematical models and data can be seamlessly imported from VisualDOC, processed in the Multistat Visual Optimizer environment and exported back into the VisualDOC database.

The integration provides benefits to design optimisation and general optimisation user communities.

Multistat Visual Optimizer's users benefit from VR and D's optimisation and DOE algorithms.

VisualDOC has a comprehensive library of gradient and nongradient optimisation algorithms.

The algorithms have a reputation as the most efficient for high-dimensional optimisation tasks with up to thousands of design variables, and require a low number of function evaluations.

VisualDOC users benefit from unique visualisation, advanced IDE and enhanced reporting capabilities.

In addition, Multistat Visual Optimizer provides Term and VMFP methods of multi-objective optimisation for use with relatively low-dimensional optimisation problems.

Term is the most accurate algorithm of its type on the market.

It is based on mathematically proven results and strict numerical analysis.

Term calculates the solution with pre-assigned accuracy.

"VisualDOC has one of the best libraries of optimisation algorithms and an expansive library of experimental design methods", said Vladimir Sevastyanov, President, Multistat.

"The integration with Multistat Visual Optimizer provides an excellent visual environment for those algorithms and methods.

This integration creates one of the most comprehensive and powerful optimisation tools in the market".

An evaluation copy of the Multistat Visual Optimizer is available from the Multistat website.

The full version is priced at $3000 one time fee, with $1500 one-year lease fee per licence.

Multiple license discounts can be applied.

Information about VisualDOC can be found on www.vrand.com.
