A new TFT-based 8in touchscreen HMI lists for $100 less than its DSTN-based predecessor.

Maple Systems has released a new 8in touchscreen HMI, the HMI530T.

With a bright 400cd/m2 256-colour display, the HMI530T lists for $100 less than the company's 8in DSTN display at just $1099.

"We are pleased to be able to offer our customers a TFT display at such a low price", says Larry St Peter, President of Maple Systems.

"For $100 less than the cost of our 8in DSTN, our customers will be able to get a brighter TFT display with all of the same capabilities".

The HMI530T has all of the reliability and features expected from Maple Systems' Silver Series, including powerful graphics and animation capability, four-wire analogue resistive technology for total design freedom, high-speed processor, pop-up windows, recipes, macros, multiple languages, real-time clock and support for over 85 controller families from more than 35 major manufacturers.

There is also an Ethernet/CompactFlash version of the HMI530T available for just $1199.
