MR and P valves perform in corrosive environments

A Minnesota Rubber and Plastics product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 19, 2010

MR and P's valve bodies for South Bend Controls are moulded from high-performance plastics, are biocompatible to FDA and USP Class VI and perform well in high-temperature and corrosive environments.

Applications include medical equipment, clinical instrumentation, food processing, beverage dispensing and most other forms of flow control.

These two- and three-way valves have wetted surfaces moulded entirely of engineered, high-performance materials such as PEEK, Ultem, Radel, and Viton-GF with FDA and UPS class VI approval.

The valves withstand chemical attack by corrosive and biological fluids, while remaining inert and maintaining the integrity of the fluid pathway.

Poppets and seats are configured to provide bubble-tight leakage characteristics.
