Pump has slick operation for Shell UK
Oil
The problem of pumping rain water with potential hydrocarbon traces has been solved by Mono Pumps to ensure an efficient and smooth operation for Shell UK Oil Products.
The problem of pumping rain water with potential hydrocarbon traces from a pipe track catchment area has been solved by Mono Pumps, using a P range vertical progressive cavity, positive displacement pump to ensure an efficient and smooth operation for Shell UK Oil Products Shell's requirements specifically needed a pump that could handle principally rainwater, plus a range of hydrocarbon products of varying viscosities

Additionally, the ability to manage abrasive sediments was a consideration.
Mono's SP082P range vertical pump was selected as the preferred unit.
The pump is efficiently operated remotely on automatic level control, to periodically empty a new sump chamber as the collected rain water levels rise.
Pumping at a rate of 7.5dm3/s and operating at 254rev/min, the rainwater is pumped away into an existing site collection system.
The P range vertical pump is particularly efficient for low shear, abrasive materials and high viscosity applications, with multiphase capability.
Each pump is designed and custom built for specific applications at an affordable price.
Incorporating the proven Flexishaft drive system that is supported by a 5-year warranty, wearing components are eliminated between the drive end and the pumping element, offering increased reliability.
The pump lifetime cost is reduced due to low running speeds and lower spares costs, which extend the periods between routine maintenance.
