The long-established Burhill club was founded in 1907 and its focus is the Grade II listed clubhouse dating from 1725.
By installing the Mutrator pumping systems, Mono has ensured that noise levels are kept to a minimum in keeping with the tranquil setting.
The contract awarded to Mono included removal of all the existing equipment and installation of two new Mutrator systems, together with all necessary pipework and valves, wall mounted control panels, level controls and electrical wiring.

Pump at heart of drill cuttings handling system
A fully contained closed system for handling oil-based mud contaminated drill cuttings is using a Mono pump to provide an environmentally sound alternative to the traditional open system
The two Mutrator systems comprise duty and standby Merlin progressing cavity pumps together with two tri-hammer macerators fitted into the suction line.
The positive displacement action of the Merlin pump lifts the wastewater out of the collection sump into the cutting chamber of the macerator.
The wastewater and any textile or fibrous matter is macerated and then pumped away to the main gravity sewer at a flow rate of 10m3/h.
The Mono positive displacement Merlin pump offers the benefits of blockage-free operation and smooth transfer of the sewage through small-bore pipes into the main sewage system for further treatment.
Being a positive displacement pump, head is independent of speed.
This, combined with correct pump selection leads to low wear rates, minimal spares usage, lower running costs, less downtime and hence least whole-life costs.
On many high head pumping duties, Mono Mutrators can consume less than 50% of the energy of conventional sewage pumps.
The sump is fitted with level controllers so that when the sewage reaches a certain point it is automatically emptied by the pump, and once emptied the system cuts out, thus ensuring low energy consumption and reliable, cost-effective operation.
The Mutrator range has various design options to suit specific applications.
Mutrators can be mounted vertically or horizontally to give the lowest possible design / construction costs, and can be installed into an existing pump house or supplied as a complete sewage pumping station, ready to be installed and operational within two hours of delivery.
Mono prides itself on its capabilities to offer a total design, installation, commissioning and maintenance package, and being able to offer a complete supply and installation contract.
