The TMEA 2 is a novel cost-effective laser-driven shaft alignment tool.

The TMEA 2 is a novel cost-effective laser-driven shaft alignment tool Developed to further enhance plant efficiency and productivity, this addition to the Maintenance Products Direct range of instruments will be welcomed in all industries where rotating machinery is used

Shaft misalignment is responsible for up to 50% of rotating machinery breakdowns.

These breakdowns increase unplanned machinery downtime, resulting in higher maintenance costs.

Additionally, misaligned shafts can increase friction, resulting in higher energy consumption and can cause premature bearing failures.

To this end, spend vast amounts each year to remedy the effects of misaligned shafts.

Traditional alignment methods do not produce the high degree of accuracy required by today's precision machinery and are often time consuming.

In contrast, the new shaft alignment tool TMEA 2 combines pinpoint laser accuracy with simplicity of use.

The TMEA 2 uses the latest laser technology for measuring and adjusting alignment.

The two measuring units can be easily attached to the shaft using either the magnetic brackets or the chains.

Each of these measuring units emits a laser line, which is projected onto a line scale on the other unit.

This line scale makes it easy to detect the nature of misalignment and facilitates rough pre-alignment.

The display unit provides clear "live-time" of both coupling and feet values during the alignment process, making it easy to align the machinery.

The blank alignment reports, which are supplied with the shaft alignment tool, facilitate the documentation of alignment jobs.
