Moeller T & P ranges now available in new totally insulated and easy to install surface mount enclosures Moeller Electric's popular ranges of T rotary switches and P switch-disconnectors have been combined with the company's new range of IP65-rated surface mounting enclosures to create a line-up of switch products that is both more robust and much easier to install than before Made in the UK at Moeller's Worksop manufacturing facility, Moeller's T0, T3, T5, T5(B), P1 and P3 switches are suitable for a wide range of different switching and control functions including main/emergency stop switches, main circuit/control circuit switches, and instrument selector switches

Device avoids redundant contactors
CMDs monitor the state of the contactor's main contacts and compare this with the voltage applied to the coil.
Switch range suits safety applications
Moeller Electric T rotary switches and P switch disconnectors are suitable for use as main, maintenance and emergency-stop switches that can be locked in the off position with up to three padlocks.
Single and multi-pole units are available with ratings from 20A to 100A.
The new switches' robust enclosures incorporate unique push-through cable entry membranes which not only reduce installation time but also ensure a high level of protection against dust, moisture and chemicals, making them ideal for use in hazardous environments and outdoors.
The cable is simply pushed straight through the 'soft' elastomer membrane without the need of anything more complicated than a screwdriver.

Metering can also be easily retrofitted to existing installations, avoiding the need for extensive refurbishment when systems are upgraded to meet Part L requirements.
Multifunction display saves space and money
The HMI can access PLC variables directly, avoiding the cumbersome tables of variables that are often needed when separate devices are used.
The membrane closes tightly around the cable to create a seal that provides protection to IP65.
T0 rotary switches are housed in enclosures measuring 120 x 80 x 95mm which are suitable for use with cable up to 12mm in diameter.
T3 rotary switches and P1 switch-disconnectors are available in enclosures measuring 160 x 100mm with a choice of 100 and 145mm heights.
They accept cable diameters up to 16mm.
- more - The housings of the T0, T3 and P1 devices employ the unique push-through membrane cable entries.
P3, T5 and T5(B) units have enclosures which have standard knockouts.
P3 switch-disconnectors come in two sizes: 63A units measure 240 x 160mm while 100A ratings are housed in 280 x 200mm enclosures.
T5(B) rotary switches come in 240 x 160mm housings, while T5 switches come in the larger 280 x 200mm enclosures.
The enclosures are made from halogen-free glass-fibre reinforced polycarbonate which provides a high level of robustness and superb chemical resistance.
Total insulation ensures optimum protection for the user and sealed lugs can be used to protect the unit against unauthorised opening.
Rubber mounting pads on the rear of the unit stop it slipping making it easier to mount on a wall.
In addition to the top and bottom cable entries, there are two rear cable entries giving six in all.
A novel design feature is the inclusion of moulded eyelets on the top of the base and cover of the enclosure.
Passing tie wraps through these eyelets effectively forms a temporary hinge for the cover allowing maintenance engineers access to the contents of the enclosure while keeping the cover firmly attached to the base.
The cover of more than one enclosure located in a lift shaft has been lost to the murky depths while maintenance was being carried out!.
