Shrewsbury-based contractor, Fisher Electrical, has recently installed the innovative new Mini Panel board, from Moeller Electric.
The introduction of the new panel boards, which are built around F and G's new range of moulded case circuit breakers (MCCBs), allows F and G to offer its customers a complete range of circuit protection boards for the first time.
"The addition of the new Concept 4000 range is a significant milestone for us," said Hugo Lambourn F and G's UK sales manager.
"For the first time we can go to a customer and offer solutions for all his installation requirements.
From the panel board that handles the mains coming into the building, through the distribution boards which feed each floor to the consumer units that protect specific work areas, we have a high quality product to suit his needs." ASTA certified and tested to 35kA, the panel boards are available in two ratings: 400A and 800A.
They come with a choice of 6, 12 or 18 outgoing ways, though connecting links are available that allow two units to be joined together to form larger configurations.
For example two 18-way boards can be linked to form a 36-way unit.
Based around F and G's new range of MCCBs, the panel boards can be fitted with incoming circuit breakers rated at 250, 400 and 630A as standard with 800A breakers available to order.
On the outgoing side circuit breakers from 40A to 250A can be fitted, rated at 25kA with fixed magnetics.
In addition to the standard Concept 4000 panel boards, F and G is also able to offer customers special one-off designs via Moeller Electric's Key Build Service.
Essentially, the customer is able to specify replacement or additional components to the standard panel board configuration, provided that they are F and G or Moeller parts, and Key Build produces a fully-assembled unit.
In this way specialised products such as Moeller's small building controller and Easy control relays can be incorporated for energy management and other control functions.
