Device avoids redundant contactors
CMDs monitor the state of the contactor's main contacts and compare this with the voltage applied to the coil.
Switch range suits safety applications
Moeller Electric T rotary switches and P switch disconnectors are suitable for use as main, maintenance and emergency-stop switches that can be locked in the off position with up to three padlocks.
Soft starters provide both electrical and mechanical protection to motors.
They offer further benefits in many applications.
For example, in fan mechanisms they prevent belt slip, thus reducing wear and increasing service life.
In conveyor applications breakaway torque is controlled and goods on the belt remain steady.
Installation of the DM4 range is quick and easy.
A screwdriver can be used to adjust the setting selector to any one of ten typical applications.
The soft starter then automatically sets all other parameters for the chosen application.
However if it is felt necessary, you can adjust individual parameters via the optional RS232 connected keypad.
Ramp up times for acceleration, delay and starting torque can also be set to suit your application.
Further time and expense is saved by the well thought out design which includes plug in terminals and terminal markings which correspond to those on the Moeller DF4 frequency inverter.
The DM4 has 2 analogue inputs and 2 analogue outputs.
There are 2 programmable digital inputs provided, and of the 4 programmable relay outputs 3 are electrically isolated from one another.
As well as output via the RS232 port, an RS485 is provided.
Networking capability is provided by PROFIBUS, Interbus and Suconet K preparation.
The whole unit is housed in a rugged IP20 rated enclosure with the control terminals conveniently remaining accessible even with the cover in place.
