And, earlier this month, Peter Dixon and his wife picked up their tickets from F and G national sales manager, Hugo Lambourn, and set sail for the calm waters of the Caribbean sea! Receiving his prize, Mr Dixon beamed: "I've been buying F and G electrical goods from Edmundson's in Spalding ever since they first introduced them.
They're easy to install and very reliable.
I saw the competition and thought I'd give it a go, never thinking I'd be the one to win the holiday of a lifetime!" Presenting the prize and a bottle of champagne to enjoy on the cruise, Hugo Lambourn added: "We had a terrific response to the competition.
From the slogans we received I can confirm that we have an awful lot of 'creative' customers out there.
I hope Mr and Mrs Dixon have a fabulous trip and bring back some great memories!" Part of the Moeller group of companies, F and G ran the competition in association with its network of wholesalers, of which Edmundson's of Spalding is one.
All entrants had to do was to answer two simple questions about F and G and come up with a catchy ten-word tie-breaker slogan.
The judges decided that Mr Dixon's 'I want to be on a clear blue sea thanks to the RCD from F and G' was the winner.
Mr Dixon's first prize is a holiday for two aboard the luxury liner Grand Princess, one of the largest and most prestigious cruise ships in the world.
The spectacular nine-night round trip includes return flights from London to Miami, transfer to Fort Lauderdale to meet the ship and a seven-night Caribbean cruise in an outside cabin calling at ports in the Bahamas, Leeward and Virgin Islands.
A weekend for two in Monte Carlo was given to five lucky second prize winners.
Two nights in the world-famous Beach Plaza Hotel, together with return flights from London to Nice and a breathtaking helicopter transfer to Monaco made the weekend one to remember!.
