First in a wave of advanced drives being launched by Moeller, are the DF5 and DF6 ranges of frequency inverters.

First in a wave of advanced drives being launched by Moeller, are the DF5 and DF6 ranges of frequency inverters The drives offer the very latest in functional technology such as automatic voltage monitoring, integral PID control and direct thermistor input, together with the simplicity of an integrated control potentiometer and start/stop buttons

This provides the ideal solution for a wide range of applications, from pumps and fans to conveying and packaging.

The DF5 range of frequency inverters is rated from 0.18 to 7.5kW from a single or three-phase power supply at 230V or from a three phase power supply at 400V.

The DF6 range is available with power ratings from 0.75 to 132kW from a three-phase power supply at 400V.

The drives offer motor protection through direct thermistor input eliminating additional interface units.

An integral PID controller allows accurate control of processes avoiding the need for a separate device.

Automatic voltage control provides constant motor voltage.

To reduce commissioning times the devices have an integral panel, comprising a keypad, LCD display and potentiometer, allowing speed to be set directly on the unit.

A wide range of fixed speed settings is available combined with standard functions such as ramped start and stop, forward and reverse selection, DC and dynamic braking.

The DF5 series boasts five programmable inputs, two outputs, and one relay output for alarms.

An RS422 interface supports connection to a remote display or key-pad as well as allowing network and PC functions.

The devices' built-in braking chopper facilitates easy connection to braking resistors for dynamic braking applications.

DF6 drives are available with configurable analogue and digital inputs/output, three relay outputs, and RS485 and RS422 interfaces.

Profibus DP communication modules are available for both ranges.

The drives are supplied with installation diagrams and a CD containing a comprehensive technical manual and Windows based configuration software.

An archiving facility allows each drive's parameters to be saved to disc.

All the devices have a compact IP20 rated enclosure and comply with global safety standards.
