Device avoids redundant contactors
CMDs monitor the state of the contactor's main contacts and compare this with the voltage applied to the coil.
Switch range suits safety applications
Moeller Electric T rotary switches and P switch disconnectors are suitable for use as main, maintenance and emergency-stop switches that can be locked in the off position with up to three padlocks.
The new drives are ideal for high-torque applications, such as machine tools, cranes and conveyors.
Moeller's DV5 range of sensorless vector inverters cover power ratings from 0.18 to 7.5kW with a single or three phase power supply at 230V or three phase at 400V.
The DV6 range is available with power ratings from 0.75 to 132kW at 400V.

Metering can also be easily retrofitted to existing installations, avoiding the need for extensive refurbishment when systems are upgraded to meet Part L requirements.
Multifunction display saves space and money
The HMI can access PLC variables directly, avoiding the cumbersome tables of variables that are often needed when separate devices are used.
With either open or closed loop vector operation the DV6 is particularly suitable for high torque or position sensitive applications such as in packaging, printing and textile industries, as well as conveyor installations and transporting and lifting.
Both the DV5 and DV6 ranges provide added motor protection through direct thermistor input without the need for additional interface units, while an integral PID controller allows accurate control of processes avoiding the need for a separate device.
Automatic voltage control provides constant motor voltage.
To reduce commissioning times the devices have an integral control panel, comprising a keypad, LCD and potentiometer, allowing speed to be set directly on the unit.
A wide range of speed settings is available combined with standard functions such as ramped start and stop, forward and reverse, dynamic and DC braking.
And thanks to their autotune facility, configuring the drives is simplified to just entering a few parameters taken from the motor's rating plate.
Flexibility of the DV5 range is ensured with five programmable inputs, two outputs, and one relay output while an RS422 interface allows connection to PC, bus modules, remote displays and remote keypad.
The series' built-in braking chopper facilitates easy connection to braking resistors.
The DV6 range is available with configurable analogue and digital inputs (up to eight) and outputs, and three relay outputs, together with RS485 and RS422 interfaces.
Profibus DP communication modules are available for both ranges.
All the devices are supplied with installation diagrams and a CD containing a comprehensive technical manual and Windows based configuration software.
An archiving facility allows each drive's parameters to be saved to disc.
All the devices have a compact IP20 rated enclosure and comply with global safety standards.
