Moeller Electric has launched a groundbreaking MCB panel board Unique to the marketplace the company's new mini panel board takes circuit protection up to 125A

Now at last, thanks to Moeller, for customers needing circuit protection beyond 63A an alternative to the larger and more expensive moulded case circuit breaker (MCCB) panel boards is available.

This innovative device's ultra-compact dimensions, ease of installation and comprehensive range of accessories provides users with unrivalled functionality and cost savings.

Hugo Lambourn, Moeller's Sales Manager said: "Prior to the launch of the mini panel board, customers had to use an MCCB panel board to provide circuit protection beyond 63A.

Now with the mini panel boards unmatched option of 125A MCBs a more compact and cost competitive solution is available.

Additionally, a future requirement for 125A protection is provided without the need of replacing the existing MCB board with an MCCB panel board, saving time and money.

This class leading flexibility will be crucial in many commercial and industrial sites with changing power demands".

Designed with a wide choice of incoming and outgoing devices together with accessories, the flexible mini panel board can be specified to precisely match customer requirements.

The range now covers applications from panel boards that handle the mains coming into the building through to distribution boards that feed each floor to individual consumer units in each specific work area.

The outgoing MCB devices are available from as low as 20A to a maximum of 125A and comprise three ranges of MCBs with Type B, C and D tripping characteristics.

The breaking capacity of the circuit breakers cover from 15 to 25kA and are available in one-, two- or three-pole configurations.

Pan assemblies come with a choice of four, eight, 12 and 16 outgoing ways.

Gland plates are also with or without knockouts to facilitate cable entry.

Incoming devices are available as either an MCCB or as a main switch, with the incoming circuit breakers offering current ratings from 100 to 400A.

Steel enclosures (1.5mm) for the mini panel boards are available in two modular sizes with dimensions of 960 x 610 x 180mm and 1290 x 610 x180mm.

A comprehensive range of accessories includes a spreader box to meet larger cable requirements as well as a modular service box that can be used to house automation and control devices and metering packs.

Other accessories include plexiglass doors, locks and keys, blanking strips and terminal adapters.

In addition to the standard mini panel boards, Moeller is also able to offer customers special one-off designs via its KeyBuild service.

Essentially, the customer is able to specify replacement or additional components to the standard panel board configuration and KeyBuild produces a fully assembled unit.

In this way specialised products such as Moeller's small building controller and Easy control relays can be incorporated for energy management and other control functions.
