Busbars handle heavy-duty distribution
The LX busbar trunking system is designed for large building and industrial power distribution from 800 to 6300A.
The LX busbar trunking system is designed for large building and industrial power distribution from 800 to 6300A The new system features a sandwich construction, which allows high currents to be carried with very little voltage drop even over long distances, a long service life and safety exceeding global standards

Device avoids redundant contactors
CMDs monitor the state of the contactor's main contacts and compare this with the voltage applied to the coil.
Switch range suits safety applications
Moeller Electric T rotary switches and P switch disconnectors are suitable for use as main, maintenance and emergency-stop switches that can be locked in the off position with up to three padlocks.
A modular design and easy installation provide unprecedented levels of flexibility, enabling customers to quickly adapt their power distribution system to changing requirements and make considerable installation cost savings compared with conventional cable systems.
In addition, the LX system's automated manufacture in the UK provides not only quality and value, but also ensures fast delivery times.
In large buildings busbar trunking can be installed in vertical riser ducts or horizontal passages.
Straight trunking units are available in 1, 2 and 3m standard lengths with optional 0.35 to 2.99m lengths for both horizontal and vertical installation.
A choice of four-, five- or six-conductor systems is available.
Tap-off points are on one side with both sides available on request.
A wide range of angle and branch units ensures easy routing of the system around corners and obstacles, without the large radius required by heavy cables and trays.
There is a choice of tap-off units from 100 to 1250A, with larger units available, fitted with either a fuse switch disconnector or circuit breaker.
Manufactured from paint-finished aluminium, the busbar housing offers high torsional strength, as well as low weight and high resistance to chemical and atmospheric attack.
The high-degree of protection of the system to IP54 as standard ensures safe power distribution even in dirty, damp environments or in operational sites where there is a risk of fire.
Demands for fire safety, in terms of fire barriers and fire lode (combustive energy) in buildings is met by the LX busbar system providing low fire load values and fire barriers which can be ordered as part of the standard package.
