Moeller has published an easy-to-use inverter selection tool that will enable electrical designers and plant engineers to quickly resolve motor speed control applications Covering both V/F and sensorless vector frequency inverter types, the tool enables simple selection of inverters and all ancillary equipment to ensure reliable operation and EMC compliance

By simply 'dialling in' the necessary motor rating, users are presented with a comprehensive list of parts necessary to satisfy the control application.

Motor ratings may be entered in kW or HP or by current rating as required.

The data is presented in the form of a circuit diagram from either single- or three-phase supplies.

The complete power circuit is shown, right down to the motor terminals, making system design extremely simple.

Correctly rated cable protection and switching devices may be selected, as well as mains choke for reduction of harmonic currents, RFI filtering for EMC compliance and motor choke or sinusoidal filter for use in applications with longer cable runs or with older motors.

The guide is compact and simple to navigate and will fit in an engineers toolbox or a designers drawer ready for action when ever needed.
