Motor protection circuit breakers are available in versions to switch motors rated at up to 32A, providing a basis for fuseless starting for most motors used in commercial and industrial applications.

At 45mm wide, PKZM0 motor protection circuit breakers in Moeller Electric's XStart range are available in versions to switch motors rated at up to 32A.

This provides a basis for compact, dependable and cost-effective fuseless starting for most motors used in commercial and industrial applications.

Moeller has also added PKZM01 pushbutton operated breakers with ratings up to 25A to the range, alongside models with the more usual rotary operators.

This is a help, for example, where they may be used by operators wearing gloves.

The pushbutton versions are complemented by accessories that include IP40, IP55 and IP65 enclosures, and an emergency stop pushbutton.

All the added PKZM0 breakers have improved short-circuit ratings - 150kA for models with rotary operators and ratings up to 12A, and 50kA all other models.

These increased ratings mean the need for external current limiters is virtually eliminated, cutting wiring time and saving panel space.

The motor protection circuit breaker range includes models with ratings from 0.16 to 32A.

All types provide short-circuit and adjustable overload protection that meets the requirements for types one and two co-ordination according to IEC 60947-4.

For larger motors, similar functionality is offered by the firm's PKZM4 motor protection circuit breakers, which are available with ratings up to 65A.

A large selection of accessories is available, including shunt and under-voltage trips, front-and side-mounting auxiliary contacts, and door coupling handles.
