Moeller e-stop offers 75% size reduction

A Moeller Electric product story

Moeller has introduced a space-saving alternative to traditional enclosed e-stops.

This solution provides the equivalent of an enclosed e-stop with only the actuator extending from any open mounting surface.

This assembly utilises a limit switch body from Moeller's LS-Titan line that contains two built-in contacts.

This acts as the enclosure, and is coupled with an e-stop actuator from the RMQ-Titan pushbutton line.

The resulting device can be mounted in any standard 22mm notched hole and carries NEMA 3R and 4X environmental ratings to withstand hose-down conditions.

This configuration can be used in applications such as material handling or conveying lines, where an e-stop is often required every few feet along the production line.

The LS-Titan limit switch line offers two positively driven, interlocking opposing contacts, housed in either a metal or insulated plastic body and is suitable for use in safety circuits.

Moeller provides several choices of rugged e-stop operators including pull-to-release, twist-to-release, keyed release, illuminated and non-illuminated options to fit a variety of applications.

In addition to e-stop operators, Moeller also offers an array of other actuators and selector switches that can attach to an LS-Titan limit switch body.
