A company formed 14 years ago has won a prestigious dealer of the year award for a record 40% increase in sales of gear boxes and motors.

The accolade from Motovario has gone to Betech 2000, of Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, which has been distributing Motovario products for the last decade.

It's the first time it has won Motovario's dealer of the year award which was presented by Bernie Tyas, newly appointed Motovario sales engineer whose territory covers Yorkshire.

Betech, founded by managing director Chris Benson, is a national distributor of industrial drives and motion control products including Mitsubishi inverters which complement the Motovario gear boxes.

Betech, which employs a sales and backup team of eight, is currently expanding its sales team by two due to growth in business as reflected in its Motovario sales record.

Said Chris Benson: "We are systems and sales driven and the key to our success is a fast response to the needs of users and OEMs".

Stephen Horsfall, managing director of Motovario, said in his many years' experience in the power transmission industry Betech's achievement in the last 12 months was unsurpassed.

"I can't recall such an exceptional rate of growth on top of an already high volume of sales", he added.
