A new range of linear servo actuators for use with welding machinery offers several advantages over both pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders.

A new range of linear servo actuators for use with welding machinery offers several advantages over both pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders.

Manufactured by Danaher Motion, the units are more economical to operate than either hydraulic or pneumatic systems as they are powered by cheaper electrical energy.

Other benefits include a lightweight design, compact construction, low maintenance, improved thrust control and enhanced processing flexibility.

They have a useful stroke range of up to 200mm at 250mm/s, a high overload capacity and a continuous thrust up to 8500N.
