Axial, radial and radial flange seals, all with helicoil spring energisers, are part of an extensive range of sealing products available from Moontown.
They are designed for static or dynamic sealing in hydraulic and pneumatic products, for all areas of industry including oil and gas, chemical, food and drugs production together with electronics manufacture.
These seals can be supplied in a combination of jacket and spring materials suitable for a wide diversity of applications covering cryogenic temperatures to over 1000 bar pressure.
Jacket materials are based upon PTFE resins providing high chemical compatibility with most common industrial fluids.
Blends are also available for applications involved with food, drugs or pharmaceutical production.
Improved sealing performance can be achieved with filled PTFE, with a wide range of compounds available to cover different requirements for pressure, heat, extreme cold, extrusion, wear, and abrasion including use with soft metals and either with or without lubrication.
Spring materials designed for maximum media compatibility include both stainless steel and NACE approved materials.
Elastomer energisers are also available to cover specific performance requirements.
Axial seals designed for static applications can be supplied for inside or outside face sealing.
Radial seals cover static or dynamic applications for sealing rod or piston components, with special versions designed for reciprocating movements, even incorporating a scraper feature, or extended heels for high pressure applications.
Radial flanged seals provide a clamping feature to prevent seals turning with a rotating shaft, with variations also available for reciprocating movements.
Helicoil spring energised seals can be supplied in a range of cross sections and sizes covering rod diameters from 3mm diameter and bore sizes up to 2000mm diameter.
Special designs and profiles can also be manufactured to suit specific requirements.
