To address the needs of high-power board connections Molex has introduced the 91,92 series of Eurostyle terminal blocks.

To address the needs of high-power board connections Molex has introduced the 91,92 series of Eurostyle terminal blocks.

Designed to address the advancements in IGBT technology and increasingly dense large backplanes, the 91/92 series are ideal for use in AC motor drive controls, electrical inverters and soft motor starters.

Offering industry leading power densities, the 91 series is available in two to 16 circuits.

The 91 series has 10.2mm terminal spacing and will accept up to 6 AWG wire, this is combined with a field service rating of 600V for 40 to 60A depending on configurations.

Offering a field service rating of 600V for 90A with 3AWG wire, the 92 series can be specified in two to 12 circuits with terminals that feature 15mm spacing.

The 92 series can accommodate up to 3AWG wire.

To eliminate the possibility of exposed wire strands that can lead to possible short circuits, the devices have been designed with an extended wire entry funnel that surrounds the wire insulator.

These fixed terminal blocks use a rising-cage pressure clamp that compresses the wire uniformly thus offering a secure and reliable contact.

Combination slotted and posidrive screw heads improve transmission of torque and wire retention.

Strategic spacing between all conductive components meet the 600V UL 1059 requirement and the 800V requirement of IEC 947-1 pollution degree 3.

In addition, multiple PCB terminals distribute power reducing "hot spots".

For greater reliability and security, the insulator has a UL94V0 flammability rating and uses leading edge polyamide polymer with a 130C temperature service rating.
