Monitran Ltd's new family of intrinsically safe accelerometers provide IP67 protection, BASEEFA and EEx ia IIC T6 certification thanks to stainless steel construction and no moving parts

Monitran Ltd's new family of intrinsically safe accelerometers provide IP67 protection, BASEEFA and EEx ia IIC T6 certification for vibration monitoring, preventative maintenance and research applications in mining, offshore, petrochemical, aggressive or changeable industrial environments.

Including the 2-wire MTN/1100I Series, the 3-wire MTN/1107I and the MTN/1185I Series, all accelerometers in Monitran's intrinsically safe family have a stainless steel construction and no moving parts, and offer long term stability and reliability over a wide frequency and dynamic range.

The MTN/1100I Series uses the constant current method of drive, while the MTN/1107I Series provides direct AC output.

Both have a nominal vibration sensitivity of 100mV/g and a frequency range of 2 Hz to 8 kHz (ñ10%).

The sensors can be interfaced in to data collectors or back via safety barriers to safe areas for on-line monitoring systems.

The MTN/1185I Series accelerometers provide a 4-20mA output, which allows vibration data to be fed directly to a PLC or other process control systems.

The sensors have a frequency response of 2Hz to 1kHz (ñ10%) and are available in a choice of velocity ranges, 0-10, 0-20, 0-25, 0-50, 0-100mm/sec.

Each intrinsically safe Monitran accelerometer is supplied complete with a calibration certificate, with a choice of male, female and Quick Fit mounting options and cable lengths available to best suit the requirements of individual applications.

Customers with more unusual applications may also take advantage of Monitran's custom design and manufacture service.
