Monitran is launching a range of accelerometers specifically designed for operation in harsh environments where radiation or high temperatures are present

Monitran Limited, a leading supplier of vibration sensors and condition monitoring systems, is launching a range of accelerometers specifically designed for operation in harsh environments where radiation or high temperatures are present.

Monitran has drawn on its many years experience in the manufacture and supply of volume sensors to a wide variety of industries, to create this highly accurate and durable range for niche market sectors such as the nuclear and power industries.

With a radiation resistance of 1x1010 rad and the capability to operate in temperatures up to 250degC, the latest Monitran MTN/1105, MTN/1152 and MTN/1106 accelerometers are suitable for applications where radiation and high temperatures are present, with high temperature applications including dryers, glove box monitoring and gearbox monitoring.

With stainless steel casings and sealed to IP66 as standard, the three accelerometers offer a measurement range of 250g with wide frequency response rates.

In particular, the MTN/1152 has a frequency response of 2 to 5000 Hz, while the MTN/1105 and MTN/1106 have frequency response rates of 2 to 8000 Hz.

All sensors in the radiation resistant, high temperature family are available with a range of mounting options, to best suit the requirements of the application.

In addition, Monitran also offers a bespoke design and build service for vibration sensors, should the requirements of the application fall outside the parameters of the standard range.
