Vibration monitoring specialist Monitran has made a number of key appointments in order to keep pace with its continued rapid growth.

Andy Anthony has been appointed as Operations Manager.

Anthony was previously with Saint Regis Paper Mills and brings with him a wealth of experience gained from 16 years working in the paper industry.

In the Sales Department, Shelley Hills and Louise Thomas have been brought in as Sales Co-ordinators to work alongside Susan Toyn, Marketing Co-ordinator, and Patrick Treherne who has recently been appointed Internal Sales Manager.

Hills has invaluable experience in the water industry, whereas Thomas boasts 25 years working in manufacturing and engineering.

Julie Day, who recently left the company because of her forthcoming marriage has kindly offered to return temporarily to assist with the orientation of the new sales team members.

Gaynor Green is also rejoining the company as an Administrator to help with an upgrade of the IT system which, when complete, will streamline the production process by providing automatic kitting and stock control.

Bob Pickard, a founder member of the company, remains in place as Director of Engineering and is currently overseeing an expansion of the Engineering Department.

He has already recruited Chris Leede, who will join the company in January 2007 with over 25 years experience in vibration monitoring and other related fields.

Donald Lyon, who replaced Chris Hansford as MD 2 months ago, said: "This is a hugely exciting time for us".

"We can see opportunities round every corner and are recruiting to take advantage of them".

"At the same time we will continue our core business of manufacturing the wide range of cost-effective accelerometers that our customers demand, with full ATEX certification when required".

On the departure of Hansford, he commented: "It was sad that Chris decided to leave us".

"He did a great job in getting the company to this level, but the fact is he just wasn't comfortable when we started talking about our plans for future expansion".

"We wish him all the best".
