Morgan Receives Contract for Steel Mill Upgrade
Morgan Construction Company has received an order from China Steel Corporation of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, for a major upgrade to its rod outlet of a combination rod and bar mill.
Morgan, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Rolling Mill Division, said, "This latest order was based on the successful performance of the first Morgan Compactor, which was commissioned in Zhangjiagang 's #1 rod mill in June of 2000.
He said that work on the project will be performed at three of Morgan's global facilities.
"Engineering work," he said, "will be performed at our design centers at Morgan-France in Paris and at Morgan-Worcester, our corporate headquarters, while the equipment will be manufactured at Morgan-China in Shanghai, PRC."
