Morgan-Europe has received a contract to upgrade Fundia Nedstaal's mill in Alblasserdam, The Netherlands.

Morgan-Europe of Sheffield, England, has received a contract to upgrade Fundia Nedstaal's mill in Alblasserdam, The Netherlands.

Daniel M Morgan, senior vice president and general manager of Morgan's rolling mill division, said: "The order is for two pinch roll and one laying head assemblies that will be part of the company's upcoming revamped combination mill in Alblasserdam".

Noting that this is another milestone order for his company, he said, "This is the first time that Fundia Nedstaal has ordered this type of equipment from Morgan.

Playing key roles in the company's selection process is the fact that Morgan can provide them with superior technology that can be delivered within a very short delivery time".

He said: "Manufacturing of these mill assemblies will be completed at Morgan's headquarters in Worcester, while additional portions of the contract will be procured at Morgan's facility in Europe".

He added that the equipment is expected to begin commercial operation in August 2002.
