Morgan Construction Company has received an order to supply a copper rod mill system for Jiangxi Copper Company of Guixi City, Jiangxi Province, People's Republic of China.

Morgan Construction Company has received an order to supply a copper rod mill system for Jiangxi Copper Company of Guixi City, Jiangxi Province, People's Republic of China.

This will be the company's first Morgan mill.

John T Buell, manager of Non-Ferrous Sales, in announcing the contract, said, "The order is part of a contract for an SCR copper system that is being supplied to Jiangxi Copper by the Southwire Company of Carrollton, Ga".

Under the terms of contract, Morgan will supply the mill with an entry shear and table, two 12in stands, eight 8in stands, a pickling line, turndown, pinch roll, coiler, and five-station conveyor.

Buell added that the mill is scheduled to be shipped by March of 2003.

Morgan and Southwire have worked together for more than 30 years.

During that time, Morgan has built more than 60 non-ferrous mills for Southwire customers, in addition to completing 25 to 30 upgrades.
