Morgan ships first China-made stands

Morgan Construction Company's manufacturing plant in Shanghai has recently shipped 12 No-Housing stands to Zhang Jia Gang Shatai Steel Company in Jiangsu Province, the People's Republic of China.

Morgan Construction Company's manufacturing plant in Shanghai, has recently shipped 12 No-Housing stands to Zhang Jia Gang Shatai Steel Company in Jiangsu Province, the People's Republic of China.

"This is another milestone for our company", noted Daniel M Morgan, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Rolling Mill Division, "as these are the first No-Housing stands made at our new shop in Shanghai".

The shop is operated by Morgan Rolling Mill (Shanghai) Co, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Morgan Construction Company, Commenting on the shipment, Michael Wong, President of Morgan Rolling Mill (Shanghai) Co, said, "The units, which were designed at Morgan's Worcester headquarters and installed by our Shanghai plant, included six no-housing mill stands for the company's roughing mill, along with six offline stands".

Zhang Jia Gang, which has been a long-time Morgan customer, has purchased four high-speed rod mills between 1994 and 2001.
