Morgan Construction Company has received a contract from Cascade Steel Rolling Mills of McMinnville, Oregon to upgrade the company's single-strand rod outlet.

Neil Gow, Sales Manager of Morgan's Rolling Mill Division, noted the order is for high-speed pinch roll and laying head assemblies.

In announcing the contract, he explained: "A key role in the company's selection process was Morgan's ability to provide them with superior and proven technology, specifically Morgan's successful laying head with 120m/s capability for 5.5mm wire rod".

The product range that will be produced using this new equipment will be wire rod in sizes 5.5 mm to 20 mm and rebar in sizes #3 through #6.

This equipment, to be supplied in August 2006, will be completely manufactured and assembled at Morgan's headquarters in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Morgan's last contract with Cascade, for reform tub assembly with ring distributor and coil plate, was successfully commissioned in November 2002.
