The launch of the new Drycom range of compressed air packages will fill a gap in the market for compact, integrated compressed air systems claims Motivair, the company behind the new range and its development, engineering and distribution throughout the UK Drycom packages come complete with air compressor, receiver, air treatment set plus condensate management technology to suit each customer's specific requirements

Compressed air system handed over to Army on time
Motivair has recently completed a £70,000 contract for the MoD for hangar compressed air systems in a support centre to maintain the Army's new WAH-64 Attack helicopter.
"Traditionally, the air treatment and condensate management components of a compressed air system have always been fitted separately as 'add-ons' to the compressor," explained Motivair's capital plant sales manager Nick Hunt.
"Drycom brings all these key functions together within one convenient package.
Everything is mounted on to one base plate or receiver, reducing installation time and costs.

What's more, each set is compact enough to go through a standard doorway and the reduced footprint saves factory floor space." The Drycom range offers four different variants; base plate mounted rotary screw, receiver mounted vane and reciprocating compressors for hazardous or aggressive operating environments.
For operations that require a constant guarantee of air supply the range also has packages that contain lead and standby compressors.
Capacities range from 0.11mü/min to 3.5mü/min with a pressure capability of up to 13 bar.
However, larger versions of the Drycom standard can be designed to customer specification with outputs up to 30mü/min.
Customers can also specify the air quality required, including the level of filtration and drying that is best suited to their particular compressed air application.
Air quality up to ISO85731 in Quality Classes 1.2.1., 1.4.1 and 1.6.1 is offered; this means process to instrument quality is available.
As well as saving time and money at the installation stage (Motivair claims that the whole system can be up and running in a matter of minutes as long as there is an appropriate power supply, a system manifold connection and a condensate drain outlet point already in place) the lead times between ordering and delivery can be measured in weeks rather than months.
This is because standard Drycom packages are assembled using ex-stock components which means that many models can be ordered off-the-shelf.
All Drycom packages are built using equipment and components from leading manufacturers and skid assemblies are fabricated and tested to Motivair's own design criteria under rigorously controlled conditions.
Motivair offers comprehensive warranty products backed up by a range of service packages.
