Boeing orders launch systems
MB Aerospace has won a new contract with Boeing Integrated Defense Systems.
MB Aerospace, one of the main subsidiary groups of MB Engineering Solutions, has announced details of a new contract with Boeing Integrated Defense Systems of St Louis, Missouri, USA The company already has an extensive order book with Boeing and this new contract will see MB Aerospace supply several launch systems for the Boeing Harpoon programme

The contract will run concurrently with existing orders and will generate additional sales revenue of approximately $2 million for the company, which has offices in Burnley, Lancashire and Motherwell, Scotland.
MB Aerospace's plant at Burnley specialises in the supply chain management, integration and assembly of defence systems for a range of global defence contractors.
The company has undertaken this work for several years and will co-ordinate and programme manage an approved global supply chain to enable manufacture, test and final assembly of these launch systems.
This new contract will generate additional work packages for MB Aerospace's Motherwell plant, which has significant capability in providing a range of Computer-Aided Design (CAM) and precision machined aerospace components for the commercial and defence aerospace markets.
Craig Gallagher, Managing Director of MB Aerospace, said: "We are delighted to continue our long standing relationship with the Boeing Company on the Harpoon programme and welcome the award of this contract".

Earlier this year MB Aerospace secured a five year contract worth up to GBP 25 million with Rolls-Royce.
The contract sees MB Aerospace manufacture the rings for civil, defence, marine and energy engines to be used in aircraft including Harrier, Hawk, and Boeing 747-400.
The Rolls-Royce contract is currently being managed by MB Aerospace's Burnley facility with support from the in-house manufacturing plant in Motherwell.
