The NPort 6000 series secures a serial to Ethernet connection in just three steps.

Moxa's latest device servers, the NPort 6000 series, differ from their predecessors, the NPort 5000 series, in a number of ways In particular, the NPort 6000 series secures a serial to Ethernet connection in just three steps

"The security is the trend of all data transmission products", said Jackie Shi, Manager of Moxa's Device Networking Business Unit.

The NPort 6000 series provides comprehensive data encryption by supporting DES/3DES/AES hardware encryption and standard SSHv2 and SSL encryption protocols.

On the hardware side, the NPort 6000 can also said to be the most delicate device server.

It has a built-in 64Kbyte port buffer, which can be used to hold data when the serial connection is severed.

The port buffer size can also be increased by inserting an SD card in the expansion slot.

The NPort 6000 series is also equipped with an LCD panel for easy on-site configuration.

This LCD can also be locked to prevent tampering.
