Posic develops linear inductive encoder kit

A Posic product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 2, 2009

Posic has introduced a miniaturised incremental inductive encoder kit, IT3401, for linear applications.

The sensor head measures 11mm x 11mm with a thickness of 0.9mm and has A quad B and Index output signals.

The linear scale is a 0.6mm thick and 7.5mm wide PCB strip that comes in different lengths.

The resolution ranges from 0.3 micron at a speed of 0.2m/s to 150 micron at 50m/s.

Typical applications are in the mechatronics and motion-control domains as position feedback device for magnetic actuators such as brushed and brushless motors, voice coil actuators, solenoids, linear drives and more.

Markets served include industrial, robotics, medical, instrumentation, laboratory automation and office equipment.

Evaluation kits containing two cabled sensors, a linear scale of 200mm length and an interface board are available from stock.
