Strain card turns transducers digital
The latest DSC digital strain card from Mantracourt is a high-performance digital signal conditioner with a host of additional features for the precision measurement of strain gauge transducers.
The new T24 range forms part of an overall precision measurement system that can collect measurements from a variety of sources, enabling accurate and immediate data collection via two-way telemetry without the requirement for extensive and labour intensive cabling operations.
The initial product release consists of the T24-SA, a tiny embedded strain gauge digitiser which transmits on the licence free 2.4GHz band, and the T24-HS, a user-friendly two-button handheld that captures the data and displays it, providing a line of sight communication range of typically 120m which can be extended by the use of a repeater.
The T24-HS handheld display also performs a battery-saving function by waking the T24-SA when it is turned on and sending it into deep sleep when it is turned off.
Further releases in the future will include a more advanced handheld with printing and remote display options, logging acquisition modules and high speed acquisition modules.
The wide temperature operating range and the robust technology ensures that the module is not susceptible to harsh physical or electrical environments.
Options include internal or external antenna and high speed data logging.
Mantracourt's new wireless generation T24 range offers a reliable remote system for any business requiring measurement data literally at its fingertips.
