Acquisition modules use 2.4GHz telemetry

A Mantracourt Electronics product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 14, 2008

Mantracourt's new range of 2.4GHz wireless telemetry is growing rapidly with the addition of four new products in August.

The T24-VA and T24-IA voltage and current acquisition modules increase the range of sensor capabilities which will enable users to use simple and more advanced wireless applications in a range of new process applications.

The modules for 0-10V or 0-20mA inputs enable the data to be transmitted wirelessly up to 100m to simple handheld receivers, fixed displays, printers, PCs or PLCs.

Together with the existing T24-SA modules, Mantracourt's wireless acquisition modules can now handle strain gauge, voltage and current inputs.

In addition to these acquisition modules Mantracourt has also released a T24-Safi Fast acquisition strain gauge module with measurements at 2kHz with 200 packets per second containing 10 x 32bit values representing nano/volt.

2kHz data acquisition could also be integrated with a voltage and current module for process based applications where a strain gauge input is not suitable.

This product will be ideal for the test and measurement market where higher speed acquisition is essential.

With all these acquisition modules Mantracourt has also extended its range of receivers.

The T24-HA handheld has the capability of displaying up to 12 data inputs transmitted wirelessly from miniature strain gauge digitisers over 2.4GHz radio.

The system allows for remote viewing of a variety of inputs such as strain, voltage or current.

The advanced handheld operates in two modes enabling the user to create a single result by summing the values from up to 12 acquisition modules simultaneously as well as providing discrete values, or to view each acquisition module as a separate entity.
