Hirschmann GM series connectors feature casings made from high-quality glass-fibre-reinforced plastic with an unbreakable robust design Equipment designers will find maximum space for connecting cables in the cable socket, despite the compact size: the moulded-on sealing lip in the contact surface for the central locking screw of the connector eliminates the need for additional parts and simplifies installation

Rugged design for electrical connectors
Hirschmann has developed a new range of special-purpose connectors as per DIN43650-a and ISO4400 for plug-in electrical connectors to appliances, machinery and plants.
The contact bearer can be rotated through 180 degrees for installation, permitting a choice of two possible directions for cable exit.
A central screw ensures that the connector is locked and will not be loosened by vibrations, and the knurled screw permits tool-free actuation.
The cable sockets are also available with a variety of electrical inserts, such as voltage indication, rectifier insert, protective circuit etc.
Application examples include: electrical connections in hydraulic, pneumatic or electromagnetic appliances, such as solenoid valves, pressure transducers, limit switches, proximity switches, flow monitors, level sensors etc; and anywhere "metal-free" casings are required, such as in the chemical industry.
