TopSolid'Progress is a CAD module for progressive tool design that enables the successful blanking of a sheet metal part and the design of the strip in half the time needed by general CAD software.

TopSolid'Progress is a CAD module for progressive tool design that enables the successful blanking of a sheet metal part and the design of the strip in half the time needed by general CAD software TopSolid'Progress manages all cutting, folding and deforming stages of the sheet metal, creation of the die set, addition of standard components together with their machining processes, creation of punches, nonstandard matrices and draft creation

The general look and ergonomics of TopSolid'Progress 2005 have been improved and innovated to be more user-friendly, as is the case with all TopSolid'2005 modules.

TopSolid'Progress 2005 offers important improvements in a number of areas.

Thanks to the integration of a new component from AutoForm Engineering (a company that develops and markets specialised die face design and simulation software for the automotive and sheet metal forming industries), the die designer will be capable of defining the required blank and designing the strip in a completely associative process.

Blanking of sheet metal parts with complex surfaces will henceforth be much easier.

This new solution will be offered as an addon to TopSolid'Progress 2005 and will be available from January 2005 onwards.

Also, with TopSolid'Progress 2005 the way in which the die set is created has been improved from previous die set creation in TopSolid.

It is now also possible to copy existing die sets and to define and create standard die sets.

TopSolid'Progress 2005 also enables a number of components to be joined together to form one single component.

This in turns entails time gains for the operator who benefits from fewer operations to be performed.

The package also contains an increased number of standard components, including new types of punches and standard matrices - rectangular, square and oblong matrices.

Its complete integration with all TopSolid modules coupled with its specialised knowhow in designing cutting tools makes TopSolid'Progress 2005 a leading sheet metal CAD software.
