CAD/CAM software shows up in Chile and Brazil

The integrated CAD/CAM TopSolid solution will be on show at two major South American trade fairs this week: Expomin 2006 in Santiago, Chile; and Mecanica Expo in Sao Paolo, Brazil.

The integrated CAD/CAM TopSolid solution from Missler Software will be on show at two major South American trade fairs this week: Expomin 2006 runs from 23rd to 27th May in Santiago, Chile; and Mecanica Expo runs 23rd to 27th May in Sao Paolo, Brazil.

The South American market has been a successful one for Missler Software, especially in Chile and Brazil.

With more than 5 years experience in the region TopSolid has gained quite a name for itself notably among toolmakers.

According to Eric Gerval, Channel Sales Manager for South America: "TopSolid is a unique 3D parametric modelling and design system that has been developed for use in a manufacturing environment and not purely for design".

"Until now South American toolmakers have had to patch together two, three or sometimes even more separate products from different suppliers to get a complete suite of design and manufacturing capability".

Put simply, TopSolid offers all the capabilities of the well known modelling products that have no machining ability at all and then combines that to a highly sophisticated CNC programming system that can simulate machine tools of all types including five-axis milling, turning and combination multifunction machines.

TopSolid is a powerful CAD/CAM solution for modelling, simulation and production (geometry, assemblies, structural calculation, dynamics etc).

Such functions provide a powerful means to meet industry-specific requirements for the drafting, design and manufacture of products.

What is particularly interesting with the TopSolid range of products are the highly specialised, industry specific modules which are based around the central TopSolid module: TopSolid'Mold and TopSolid'Progress for tool makers, TopSolid'Design and TopSolid'Cam for the mechanical engineering industry, TopSolid'Wood and TopSolid'WoodCam for the wood industry etc.

TopSolid is currently the CAD/CAM module used by many important South American companies.
