Whirlpool adopts enterprise-level engineering

Whirlpool Corporation has selected MSC's SimManager Enterprise as the standard environment for its global engineering product simulation environment.
Whirlpool Corporation has selected MSC's SimManager Enterprise as the standard environment for its global engineering product simulation environment.
Whirlpool will use the SimEnterprise environment, which includes MD Nastran, SimXpert, SimDesigner, and SimManager Enterprise to improve product quality and reduce warranty costs.
By standardising on the fully integrated and extendable SimEnterprise platform, Whirlpool Corp's integrated virtual product development tools can use detailed digital product models to simulate and verify every aspect of the product from functional performance through to shipping and installation.
This empowers Whirlpool to make and track critical design and packaging decisions and communicate and co-ordinate product development with all points of the enterprise, driving product innovation and quality to new and competitively sustainable levels.
