Mitutoyo's new SVC Series Formtracers combine surface contour and roughness in one unit providing an ideal solution in situations where a total assessment of a workpiece's surface is needed.

The SVC Formtracers are designed for use in conjunction with Surfpak surface roughness measurement software and Formpak contour measurement software.

These powerful packages provide the operator with analysis capability and can both display condition set-up and measurement results on screen as well as generate hard copy reports with an optional printer.

The advantage of the Formtracer is the smaller amount of workspace taken in comparison to two dedicated units and its simplicity of operation.

In surface measurement mode it offers a large range of both profile assessment and evaluation parameters.

In contour measurement mode it provides accuracy levels and resolution levels that meet the needs of the most demanding applications.
