Optical range looks bigger than ever

Mitutoyo (UK) has launched a new range of microscopes and optical equipment which complements the existing ranges of projectors, toolmakers microscopes and vision measurement systems.

Mitutoyo (UK) has launched a new range of microscopes and optical equipment which complements the existing ranges of projectors, toolmakers microscopes and vision measurement systems The company now claims to have the most comprehensive range of optical solutions available from a single supplier

Stereomicroscopes for assembly and quality control, measuring microscopes with high magnification optics up to 2000x, compound microscopes for materials research, long working distance optics and viewing heads for OEM applications, specialised UV + infra-red objective make up the range.

Image processing and archiving for storage and retrieval of optical images are also provided.

These products set new levels of optical and ergonomic performance combining both visual observations and measurement requirements into a seamless product range for manufacturing, assembly, inspection, quality control and research applications.

The stereomicroscope range provides a binocular 3D view in the general magnification range between 6 and 40x - with options from 2-200x.

They are ideal for the manipulation and assembly of intricate parts, as well as the visual inspection and quality control of manufactured components.

Models will suit applications within markets such as medical device manufacturing and assembly, electronics manufacture and assembly and packaging manufacturing - especially in the medical/pharmaceutical and food sectors where product performance and contamination issues are paramount.

Measuring Microscopes complement Mitutoyo's existing TM toolmakers microscope range by providing higher magnifications up to 2,000X, a choice of illumination techniques and a wide selection of scanning and measuring stages.

The combination of ease of measurement and high performance optics will suit materials research and microscopic investigations within microelectronics and semiconductor wafer manufacturing.

CD, optical disc and liquid crystal display research and manufacturing as well as mechanical/chemical/laser micro-machining applications will also benefit.

High performance optics feature special laser, infra-red and UV optics for use on OEM vision systems.

These can be used with a choice of Mitutoyo zoom and relay optics, specialised zoom lenses and custom designed OEM relay optics.

Application areas include OEM electronics probe and bond test machines, machine vision systems, micro machining and laser cutting machines as well as semiconductor and LCD imaging systems.

To provide a wide choice of ergonomic viewing positions and image storage solutions, CCTV viewing and image capture products are available including both standard analog and digital colour cameras.

Systems include standard and high-resolution colour cameras/monitors for routine viewing and high-resolution solutions for demanding stereomicroscope and measuring microscope applications.

A digital handheld/c-mount colour camera for both monitor and PC viewing applications is also available.

Mitutoyo's image archive and retrieval system for PC archiving systems is designed to overcome the disadvantages often associated with routine archive systems, when used for industrial applications.

Full installation and operator training on all products is provided, for full turnkey imaging solutions. Request a free brochure from Mitutoyo (UK) ...
