Holes up to 150mm deep can be checked with Mitutoyo's new Series 511 Digimatic bore gauge.

Holes up to 150mm deep can be checked with Mitutoyo's new Series 511 Digimatic bore gauge.

With extensions, this can be increased to over 2000mm with the instrument providing a range of measurement data about the internal surfaces of the bore.

Designed for easy operation, the Series 511 has a number of special bore measurement functions and shows results in either analogue or digital format on a display that can be turned through 320 degrees for ease of reading.

Measurements are taken through a series of 12 anvils whose displacement is directly detected by an ultra-compact built-in sensor before the results are displayed.

No mechanical transmitter is involved which may result in loss of accuracy.

To provide additional functionality, the Series 511 is equipped with useful features.

These include data hold, the ability to preset measurement parameters; data hold and the benefit of Mitutoyo's absolute precision function.

With this, the origin point once set is permanent until changed regardless of whether the power is on or off.

This effectively eliminates the risk of overspeed errors.

Protected to IP53, the Series 511 has a digimatic data output to download information for SPC analysis.

The Series 511 has a 5N measuring force and accuracy as low as 0.002mm.
