At IPOT and Machine Vision 2005, Mitutoyo will be showcasing key examples from its wide range of innovative solutions to vision-based measurement requirements using state-of-the-art image processing technology.

The full range extends from high-economy compact desktop instruments through to high-precision reference models.

On display will be the Quick IME 2D manual instrument with double telecentric optics, the economical Quick Scope manual machine for basic work or, for no-compromise 3D CNC precision and automation efficiency, the Quick Vision Elf.

The QV Elf is a compact system specifically designed for measuring smaller components and offers a measuring range of 200 x 200 (or 250) x 100mm, an excellent cost to performance ratio, energy saving features and high accuracy.

Mitutoyo?s Vision measuring instrument range extends to The Ultra Quick Vision CNC model that delivers repeatability of 0.3um.

The Quick Vision Hybrid model is a versatile, midrange machine that incorporates both a highly accurate CCD camera system as well as a laser scanning-probe.

The CCD camera affords vision-based 2D measurement while the laser allows high speed, high accuracy height measurement.

Mitutoyo?s dedicated Vision software packages QSPAK and QVPAK enable functionality such as CAD data conversion, SPC analysis, ball end mill inspection and gear profile evaluation.

Microscopes are represented through the TM 505 toolmaker?s microscope with a standard 30x magnification that can be extended to 200x with optional lenses.

The MF-A measuring microscope provides higher magnification (up to 2000x), is available with a camera for vision applications and offers a choice of illumination techniques.

Other microscopes in the range include the MF stereo microscope and the MF-UA, which is designed for inspection and measurement work offering top quality optical performance and outstanding accuracy, precision and ease of use.

The PJ-A3000 optical projector will be demonstrated using the QM Data-200 processor and new Optoeye edge sensor.

Also featured will be the PH-A14 horizontal-beam projector with highly accurate linear glass scales, cable-ready for connection to your choice of optional data processing and readout unit.
